Following significant investment in this area, the University has established a new School of Games and Creative Technology which is set for significant development, including portfolio expansion, as part of the University’s exciting broader vision. We are seeking to make further appointments to drive forward our strategic vision, to develop our research activity and to enhance our portfolio.
This Professorial post is a key position within the school. The post holder will lead a significant contribution to the School’s academic ethos and identity. This will be primarily exercised through research leadership and development and through research-informed learning and teaching. The
post holder will support the development and growth of our research endeavour, supervision and strategic growth of postgraduate research culture, and research informed learning and teaching activity across the School. The professorial title of the successful candidate will be decided according to the expertise of the candidate appointed; you will be an expert in either Games or Creative Computing or Creative Technology or Immersive Technology.
We are seeking an established research leader with world-leading or internationally excellent research, including a track record of income generation and project leadership, and, ideally, experience of supporting early career researchers. You will also have the capacity to provide high quality supervision to masters and PhD students, with a track record of PhD completion.
